With my next marathon not until December (the California International Marathon), I’ve quite a while until that training cycle begins. So, I’ve decided to take the time this summer to work on some shorter distances and speed. I’ve got a couple of 10Ks lined up and I’ll finish off the summer with a half marathon. After running better and better half marathons as tuneup races during marathon training, I’m curious to see how I can do when I actually train for the shorter race. Should be
fun hard. I also know training for shorter races will improve my strength when I do begin training for CIM.
